The Department ’s development program seeks to raise funds from a wide range of environmental stakeholders and alumni to enhance our educational, research, and public-service missions. The program helps the Department to grow and recruit talented graduate students, and furthers the University’s Flagship Agenda and the Forever LSU campaign.
Through the existing endowment funds, the Department now offers several awards to our students, including the Fujisaki Award, the Martinez Award, the Sustainable Environment Award, and the Pierce M. Williamson Memorial Fund. In addition, the Department holds the Claiborne Gasoline Company Chair in Air Quality/Environmental Toxicology professorship and has access to two Distinguished Professorships in Louisiana Environmental Studies. Please visit our endowments page here for more information).
