The Department of Environmental Sciences has 12 faculty members who have backgrounds in a number of disciplines including physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology, microbiology, ecology, law, and political science. Thus, a holistic approach to environmental problems is the cornerstone of our research efforts. We are currently filling four faculty positions (see faculty hires)
